Originally from Atlanta, the ATL, Joey brings southern charm and a real talent and love for making everyone feel great and look great to J Studio. As a matter of fact, the studio is his baby and the energetic and lively atmosphere is a direct result of his personality. Whether preparing for a day with his clients, a photo shoot for local magazines, a wedding party or a fashion show, Joey is always in early and ready to go! Everyone seeks passion in their work, that "right" fit for them and making people look GREAT is exactly that - passion - you hear it a lot but that is what you'll find with Joey's work.

At J Studio you'll find Bamboo, Joey's best friend and faithful side-kick. To talk about Joey without talking about Bamboo (aka The Bam Man, Bambadoozle, Dooz) would be an injustice. We'll get to The Bam Man later!

Joey graduated from Riverdale High School in Atlanta, attended The Aveda Institute in Charlotte, and has since been performing his craft in the Dilworth and SouthEnd area. Other areas of interest are music, travel, dancing, clothes (both shopping for and making them), and food.

Joey is the fashion editor of Uptown Magazine, and also the host of the annual Glitterati Party and often the stylist for many fashion shows around town.
